On Friday the 13th, Do The 45 happened at Quinn’s in Beacon, NY. Special guest DJ was former WVKR radio personality Vince Vincent, who brought the rockin’ stuff and a couple hillbilly boppers. We wanted him to spin three sets, but he insisted on two. I guess we weren’t paying him enough!! For some reason, the regular host Pete Pop had to show up late, so Phast Phreddie the Boogaloo Omnibus brought his gear and set up. Pete Pop must have been off somewhere doing his unique Pete Pop stuff somewhere else. Oh, well, he showed up in time to lay down a super boss set of super boss trash toward the end of the night.

Phast Phreddie the Boogaloo Omnibus was the den leader for the night. He came early and played about an hour of groovy stuff until around 9:00pm, when Go-Go dancer Bella Bombora hopped on the raised dance floor and the place got to rockin’—especially when Vince Vincent took over the turntables. Another boss Beacon boogaloo bonanza!!!
